Joining the Hebridean Cycle Club

The Hebridean Cycle Club uses the Scottish Cycling Club Management Tool, an online resource which allows us to manage things such as membership, events and club runs - link to Club Management Tool FAQs.
The membership management tool is an online database used by the club secretary to store members details and accept online payments. Access to the payment system is via the Scottish Cycling website and all new members and renewals will need to apply for membership using this method. You do not need to be a member of Scottish Cycling to use the system but all members are encouraged to join Scottish Cycling to take advantage of their third party liability insurance and other benefits.
Taking out new membership or renewing membership requires you to accept the following Hebridean Cycling Club’s terms and conditions:
- Membership is due annually on 1st January.
- Once membership expires, you will be notified by email. You must renew within 28 days otherwise your club membership will be terminated and your details removed from the club membership database.
- All new membership and renewals should be applied for through the club subscription page hosted by Scottish Cycling.
- All members details will be held on Scottish Cycling Management Tool. Your details will not be shared with any Third Pary by either Scottish Cycling or the Hebridean Cycle Club..
- All members agree to abide by club rules and the club constitution
- I understand that I participate in club activities at my own risk. It is my responsibility to be properly equipped, to ensure the safety of myself and others, and I will abide by the rules of the club.
- Members must be at least 13 years of age during the year of membership, Under 16s must have the consent of Parent/Guardian to become a member and to take part in club events/activities.
- The club is affiliated to Scottish Cycling.
- The club is affiliated to Lewis and Harris Sports Council and will only support paid up club members when applying for grant aid from the LHSC.
As a club member your information may be shared on the club website, social media pages or in emails sent by the club. This data will only be shared in the event that either you are a club volunteer, have participated in a race or challenge event or have recorded a major achievement. This data will be limited to your name, race results (if applicable) and details of your achievement. Limited further information about you may be included; for example, which category of race you entered.

Junior £10
Senior £15
Family £20 (2 or more at the same address)
How To Join Or Renew Club Membership
If you agree to abide by the above terms and conditions, please follow the link below to renew your membership or join the club for the first time. To avoid creating a duplicate entry, please register yourself before renewing or sign in if you are an existing member.
When using the British Cycling system to become a member of or renew your membership with the Hebridean Cycle Club you will be registered for an online account with British Cycling. We will provide British Cycling with your personal data which they will use to enable access to an online portal for you (called My Dashboard) on the British Cycling website. British Cycling will use your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Notice which can be accessed at which can be accessed using this link. British Cycling will contact you to invite you to sign into and update your dashboard (which, amongst other things, allows you to set and amend your privacy settings).
